A little more bragging and an update

I had to start with a little more bragging. Brady got straight A's on her report card. Her teacher commented that she has developed some very diligent work habits. Super! Michael's brother Tom and his family came for a visit and stayed with us Friday night. We went out to eat at a restaurant right over the hill from us. I thought the place seemed unusually "uptight." I think what really stood out were the linen table cloths and napkins where there are usually paper place mats and rolled silver. We soon found out why when the Governor strolled through for a private party upstairs. We probably should have gone up and asked about the whole "Open for Business" slogan. Yuck. Anyway, the coolest thing about having company is that you end up doing things you don't normally do. The girls wanted to walk home from dinner. So we did. Brady and I would probably never walked home. (the last 2/3 of the walk is straight uphill) But from now on, we just might! So I had to swipe a few more pictures from Steph's facebook page to brag on Taylor. Taylor the soccer star! She scored two goals in her first two games of the season. Why is this so impressive? She plays defense! She also tried out for and made the track team.

Taylor and Jenna also both got straight A's. What are we gonna do with all these smart girls? Those girls were a big help to me. Oliver absolutely LOVED them. If Jenna sat on the floor, Oliver sat on her lap. He would just go over and sit beside one of them and snuggle up. It was amazing and he doesn't do that with anyone. The only other person he shows that kind of affection to (outside of this house) is Dylan. We had a great visit even if Michael and Tom stayed out a little late. ( I HAD to the throw that in there)
Oliver has had a cough for a few weeks now. At one point we thought it was going to clear up and then it seemed to all of a sudden get worse. So the doctor called in a prescription for us on Friday morning. Well yesterday I felt like he was kinda wheezing and seemed like maybe he was a little short of breath. It made me really nervous to see his chest pumping up and down. So off we went to the ER. Wheeling Hospital is awesome about getting you right in to be seen. Oliver got a breathing treatment and a chest x-ray. Turns out he has viral pneumonia. Ugh. Can't this kid get a break????
My official "busy" season has begun. Soccer has started up and I am in full swing PTA activities preparing for Student and teacher appreciation weeks.
I am going to try and hit the gym with Heather today although my sleep for the last two nights has been very little. (a nap is a must)
