Ok. I finally made the call to the computer company and the problem is my hard drive. They are sending me a new one.
ALL of my pictures are on there! Oliver's entire first year of his life. Brady's kindergarten pictures. A year in my life of pictures are gone. I am sick about it. Sick, sick, sick.
My only hope is that someone, anyone will be able to recover those before I get rid of the old hard drive and install the new one.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if you know if anyone who can help please let me know. I can't believe I will never have pictures of Oliver as a baby.
I am just sick about this.

I'm sorry I don't know how to get pics out of a hard drive. But, luckily you blogged a lot of pictures. You can open them as big as you can, right click and save as. That should get the blog pics. Good luck!!!
this has happened to me before. It really does make your stomach sick. I learned my lesson and I burn a cd of my pictures when I down load them. buy a cd book to put them in. Also you can delete the files to make more room on your computer.

it'll cost you probably but there are services out there that do this.
not sure the names of the companies.
i should backup more.
you know what i do end up doing---i automatically upload to snapfish or another photo service. i feel a little safer knowing they are somewhere else. i know that doesn't help now but for the future...
